Bug Description
Binary package hint: patchutils
When the patch passed to editdiff does not get changed (saved in the editor), the patch file should not get updated/passed to rediff. Also a "*.orig" file is not required in this case.
My use case is that I want to detect based on the file's last modification time, if the patch has been saved (ACKed) in the editor (I'm using "stat -c %y $PATCH" to get this info before and after calling editdiff).
