Bug Description

Binary package hint: fakechroot

Fakechroot doesn't intercept the system() function. The patch replaces system() from libc with a new version which calls into the execve function of fakechroot.
Furthermore the patch allows you to set explicitly the location of the dynamic linker. This enables you to use fakechroot, even when the abi of the host system is different from the chrooted system.
The patch is against fakechroot 2.8 in intrepid.

The patch would be more useful sent upstream.
