Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

In jaunty, the lower entries in the 'System' menu have been removed and replaced with a modified switcher applet.

However, there is no way to open the switcher applet using the keyboard.

It is possible to log in into the GNOME desktop using only the keyboard, but not then log out again.

Ideally either:

a 'Shutdown... >' sub-menu would be returned to 'System' (giving the same sub-options as the switcher applet)

or:

Moving around the panel menus with <- Left and -> Right, would also move around the switcher menu.
