Bug Description
I've been importing some new music lately and several times, Banshee has consumed 100% CPU while downloading cover art. It would get stuck on a certain artist/album and use 100% CPU. It would never seem to finish. I clicked on the red stop icon the pop up dialog tells me I can stop it. However clicking the 'Stop' doesn't stop the downloading the cover art.
I haven't been doing this while playing music, so I'm not sure if you can still listen to music while doing this.
One such example for me was 'Oceanborn' by 'Nightwish'

Thanks for reporting this. There have been some upstream fixes to the 1.4 series that have made this better. Could you possibly try the PPA version? It's available here: https:/ /launchpad. net/~banshee- team/+archive/ ppa. 1.4 is also available in Jaunty, if you'd rather test there.
For reference, there's still an open bug here, but I'm not sure whether it will cover what you're seeing or not: http:// bugzilla. gnome.org/ show_bug. cgi?id= 541469
Please report back one way or the other so we can proceed accordingly!
