I am playing .mpg video file. During playing, i press right arrow to skip some video amount, but it moves back, not forward.

In bottom of totem, at moment of button pressing, i see "Playing 7.25/1:02:38",
than i see that it changed to 8:56 for a little time(nearly 1/3 of second), and then it is changed to 6:29, and video is played from this point.

Here is more information about played file:
file ~/Desktop/Sergant\ milizii/Sergant\ milizii\ 1\ .mpg
/home/rilium/Desktop/Sergant milizii/Sergant milizii 1 .mpg: MPEG sequence, v1, system multiplex

Sorry, there was a problem connecting to the Launchpad server.

Try reloading this page in a minute or two. If the problem persists, let us know in the #launchpad IRC channel on Freenode.

Thanks for your patience.

I will try store sample file somewhere, and place here link to it

I can confirm this issue with an up to date Ubuntu 9.10 and the .mpeg file "YOU_FM_YouGotTheLove" from [1]. When pressing the right arrow, the progress slider jumps back to the start. Pressing the left arrow will move the slider about 15 seconds back.

It's not reproducibly with every mpg/mpeg file. For example the mpg-videos at [2] just work fine.

I get the same problem when playing a normal DVD. After I clicked the right arrow, the movie stops playing, as if it is paused, but I did not clicked on the pause button.
