Media scanning stuck at 0%

Binary package hint: elisa

A user on #elisa reported that he installed Elisa on Jaunty but that when he ran it, media scanning got stuck at 0%. He supplied the command line log here:

The errors indicate that package python-coherence is not installed. I advised him to install the package and media scanning seems to be proceeding now (albeit very slowly).

I believe the elisa package should depend on elisa-coherence.

Please, no elisa-coherence. The issue here is that one import is wrong in the discogs plugin. Instead of:

from coherence.extern.et import parse_xml

it should be:

from elisa.extern.coherence.et import parse_xml

Also, the media_scanner doesn't use the discogs plugin.

What is this version of the discogs plugin? According to bzr, such a line ("from coherence.extern.et import parse_xml") never existed in discogs_resource.py...

The discogs plugin is not used anymore.
On top of that coherence is not a hard dependency for Moovida and media scanning doesn't depend on it.
And unfortunately the pastebin entry mentioned in the bug description expired.
