Bug Description

Binary package hint: flash-kernel

Please move flash-kernel to main, the written MIR is at: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MainInclusionReportFlashKernel
adding it to main fixes bug #336770 (d-i needs flash-kernel to write the bootloader partitions on NSLU2 installs)

Approved; package looks good, is well maintained in Debian, and is trivial shell scripting.

The two things I spotted and can be improved later are:
- this rules snippet is completely useless (and should have used CURDIR anyway):
pwd=$(shell pwd)
TOPDIR := $(shell pwd)
t=${TOPDIR}/debian/${PACKAGE}

- $tmp isn't double-quoted so the package doesn't support TMPDIR with spaces

status: New → In Progress

Will the di-nslu2.bin need to be updated before a new install of Jaunty can be attempted on my NSLU2, or can I use the current latest package and it will now pick up the flash-kernel package?

Thanks

Andy

Is there any way that I can use this package without having to go through the entire re-install?

If not, what steps should I take during re-install to ensure that this package is available at the right time.

Thanks!
