Bug Description

Binary package hint: cups-pdf

on newly installed jaunty with latest updates (Mar 9, 2009):

1. Installed cups-pdf via aptitude
2. Set PDF Printer als default and no other printers installed)
3. Try to print a file to the pdf printer

Result: PDF doesnt print and in the "Printer Properties - 'PDF' on localhost" the Printer State shows as:
Idle - /usr/lib/cups/backend/cups-pdf failed

Workaround: run "mkdir ~/PDF" and try again. The problem should be solved.

Suggested Fix:
1. either create the folder PDF on installation of the packet "cups-pdf"
2. set the default output directory of cups-pdf to ~/Documents (or ~/Documents/PDF ?!?)
3. Ask the user to chose the default output directory when installing the package "cups-pdf"

Additional Feature: Include a way to set the output directory in the Printer Properties of the cups-pdf printer
