1) Open Totem Movie Player

2) Click on Sidebar Add icon

3) In select Movies or Playlists window select a directory for example ~/Examples and press enter or click Add button.

Totem goes inside the directory. However it would be a good idea that totem add's all the supported files inside the selected files recursively.

This is already pretty close to being supported. You can:
- run `totem /path/to/dir` from bash
- drag a directory from nautilus into totem's playlist sidebar
- right-click on the directory in nautilus and open it with totem

It would be nice if totem could do this within its own ui, though.

this is similar to bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344736 ; "You can't with the file chooser, but you can either select all the files in the
file chooser, or drag'n'drop the files from your file manager, or pass the
directory name to totem itself."

closing the report as the upstream one was closed as well with that comment, if you disagree please comment on the upstream report, thanks.
