Bug Description
After I updated from Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex, on which I was using an 2.25 version of Empathy from a PPA, to Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope, on which I'm using the Empathy version from the official repositories, my MSN accounts no longer worked.
They do work in Pidgin, but when I start Empathy I get a message that there was a network connection error.

If you need any more information I'd be glad to provide it.
it's caused by python-msn due to python2. 5->python2. 6
try this
dpkg-reconfigure python-msn to make python-msn (pymsn) identified by python2.6
