Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

I have a toshiba satellite pro L300 with a wifi card rtl8187 that needs wicd to work on ubuntu 8.10, it doesn't work with network manager. Now I'm trying ubuntu 9.04 alpha 5 and wifi works well on live cd and on default instalation. But after updating, it stops working, and I need install wicd to have wifi working.
I tried to install network-manager 0.7.1 rc1 and network-manager-gnome 0.7.1 rc1 (the version of both pacages that contains the cd of jaunty alpha 5) instead of version 0.7.1 rc3 that is instaled after updating, but it doesn't work.

please try the linux-backport-modules-jaunty package; you need to restart in order to use the backport modules.
