Bug Description

Listaller (listallmgr) crashes when trying to run "Software catalogue".

Listaler version: 0.1.91b-3 (from PPA repository)
Distribution: Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope

Terminal output:

# listallmgr
[WARNING] Out of OEM specific VK codes, changing to unassigned
[WARNING] Out of unassigned VK codes, assigning $FF
Application initialized.
GUI loaded.

Gdk-ERROR **: The program 'listallmgr' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'.
  (Details: serial 21047 error_code 8 request_code 73 minor_code 0)
  (Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported asynchronously;
   that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
   To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
   option to change this behavior. You can then get a meaningful
   backtrace from your debugger if you break on the gdk_x_error() function.)
aborting...
Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)

Do you use GNOME or KDE or an other desktop environment?
We had this bug in an early release of Listaller, 0.1.10 and it only appeared if 'listallmgr' ran on GNOME.
The problem was solved with an newer GTK/GDK version. I'll try to reproduce the bug here and fix it if possible.

I use Gnome, newest version from Jaunty.

$ aptitude show libgtk2.0-dev | grep Version
Version: 2.15.5-0ubuntu1
$ aptitude show libgdk-pixbuf2 | grep Version
Version: 0.22.0-14

Well, it's fixed now! It was a problem with the GNOME icon loader procedure that got a wrong, unsupported icon from GTK. I will take some time until the new snapshot reaches the listaller-team-ppa, because it has to finish a short test before. But maybe new snapshot will be commited today. Please wait or compile the trunk yourself!
