Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

The top of my Firefox window has been obscured by the Ubuntu toolbar, so I cannot resize or move my Firefox window. This machine was working properly, however, the problem occurred a short time ago after random browsing. I tried going into "full screen" mode (F11), and I tried closing and reopening the browser, but neither way worked.

Oddly, this is the SECOND time I have seen this issue, last time was on an old noncritical laptop that I was testing, I never opened a bug report on it, but I may reinstall Unbuntu on it to see if I can properly recreate the issue.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: i386
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10
Package: firefox-3.0 3.0.6+nobinonly-0ubuntu0.8.10.1
ProcEnviron:
 PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games
 LANG=en_US.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: firefox-3.0
Uname: Linux 2.6.27-11-generic i686

This seems to be a video driver issue, and not a firefox issue, as all my applications are suffering from the same symptoms. Also, my refresh rate is slow and I have many artifacts.

I will suspend this bug until I can find the proper category to put it into.

This does not affect firefox, rather it affects all of Gnome. I'm killing this bug and resubmitting it later under the proper category.
