Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-applets
Almost several times on a daily basis the following problem occurs regarding the keyboard layout indicator.
I switch fairly often between a typical US and a German keyboard layout (hot-key for this i setup as both left and right shift together means layout toggle). This works like a charm until during casual usuage all of a sudden a third so called "null" keyboard layout is suddenly introduced into the mix.
This keyboard layout does not show up in the configuration panel and can only be gotten rid off by explicitly changing the current layout configuration setup by either removing and readding an existing ... or adding and removing a new layout.
The problem is resolved then until the next time to problem occurs. (which usually is within a 15-30 minute period).

Thank you for your bug report, could you describe what layout are configured exactly and how you switch between those? Could you try on jaunty if that's still an issue?
