Bug Description

Binary package hint: gdm

The values for symbolic colours aren't read from the gtk-color-scheme option in the gtkrc. The colours from the default theme (Human) seem to be used. In the attached screenshot I added the Mist GTK theme to the HumanCircle GDM theme.

GDM 2.20.8-0ubuntu10, Ubuntu 9.04 alpha 5

Is that a regression from the patch introduced in bug 331445, or an entirely separate issue?

It's not a regression, because support for symbolic colours was introduced in one of the recent patches. Previously GDM themes with a gtkrc that used symbolic colours didn't load at all.
I think it might be a separate issue, because it affects all widgets, not just the radio buttons in the session menu.

The karmic version has no graphical greeter and the session works as a normal one
