kile-dbg does not start

Following advice from this bug-report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/315594 I installed kile-dbg using the ubuntu-backports. Now kile does not start anymore. Using a terminal to start kile I get no error at all, it just doesn't start. I searched various log files (dmesg, kern.log, messages, and others) but found no mentioning of kile in any of them - though I searched only for "kile" and kile-dbg - I don't know too much about what I am doing here, but I will happily provide any logfiles.
When I try to start kile using "gbd kile" kile does not start. I just get this:

and nothing happens until I Ctrl-C the terminal..

I don't know how, but now it starts. I started kile using

gdb kile 2>&1 | tee gdb-kile.txt

and it started. Now it also starts using just the command

kile

I am sorry about this, but I guess you can consider this bug fixed.
