Bug Description
By default, the symlink
/lib/firmware/
(that is, the firmware file for ACX111-based 54g wireless cards) points to firmware version 2.3.1.31. However, this firmware version is known not to work with the current driver version -- a message is left in the log when the firmware is loaded to this effect.
The newest firmware version known to work is 1.2.1.34. The "default" symlink should point there instead.
Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'linux-image'; however, that package was not published in Ubuntu.
