Bug Description
Binary package hint: debian-
Ubuntu 8.10
The post-install script fails with a message about an "Archive-Keyring" not available, and asks "Is Ubuntu-keyring installed?"
Evidently, Ubuntu-keyring is a requirement for a successful install.
It should, therefore, be a dependency in the package database!
Ubuntu-keyring is an "Important" package, and could, perhaps, be assumed. However this was a temporary situation, and the next thing I was doing anyway was to (re-)install that. Only a short time was lost to this bug; however, we could do it "right" and none would have been lost.

That's most certainly not a bug in debian- archive- keyring. OTOH, just trying to remove various keyring packages and still expecting it to work is... interesting at best. It seems that there was a missing dependency somewhere ubuntu-keyring-ish, but given that the bug's dating back to 8.10 and was a single instance, I'm closing it.
