Bug Description
I've just upgraded to jaunty from intrepid. After installing the proprietary nvidia drivers ("version 180"), the image was displaced be about 10 pixel the next time I logged in. By changing the resolution with "Nvidia X Server Settings", the problem can be solved for this session. (Occurs again after logging out and in again)
The error doesn't occur with KDE or Xfce. I also haven't noticed it when I didn't use the prop. driver. So, I guess that this has something to do with gdm and the proprietary nvidia driver, but can't really tell the package.
EDIT: I've changed the driver to ver. 173 which made the problem disappear
Hi pbuescher,
Please attach the output of `lspci -vvnn`, and attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log (and maybe Xorg.0.log.old) file from after reproducing this issue. If you've made any customizations to your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please attach that as well.
