Bug Description
Reporting a new bug in the dapper preview:
When the CD-ROM tray is open, or when it is closed with a CD inside which has been manually unmounted, you can "mount" the CD-ROM drive from the Places, Computer location in Nautilus. (Right click, Mount).
This does not work properly in dapper. You can click that menu item, and an empty error box will appear (no message in it). In .xsession-errors, the message
closing
is output.
This worked fine in breezy I think. In any case, it has been working in the past.
Other actions in that menu appear to work. Ejecting after mounting works fine. Closing the tray works fine. Just mounting does not.
Issueing a "mount /cdrom" or "pmount /cdrom" from a terminal works fine too, closing the tray and mounting the disc.
I hope the description is clear enough to reproduce it. Thank you :-)
Thanks for your bug. It works fine for me on a CD unmounted from the computer place. What version of libgnomevfs2-0 nautilus do you use exactly? Some gnome-vfs2 bug with pmount have been fixed recently by upstream
