segfaulting with eucalyptus

Bug Description

the children of apache are segfaulting when eucalyptus talks to them. upstream appears to be aware:

I don't have a great deal of useful debugging output for this. I tried stracing apache and its children and the only thing which immediately jumped out was a call to capget() with a NULL parameter, but this didn't appear to immediately cause the segfault.
