Bug Description

Binary package hint: konqueror

I started konqueror, tried to log in to Google, which told me that I had cookies disabled. So I looked at "Settings" / "Configure Konqueror" / "Cookies", and saw a popup with the message "konqueror unable to start the cookie handler service".

I had expected to see a screen that let me control cookie policies.

This is Ubuntu 8.10 ("Intrepid Ibex")

konqueror:
  Installed: 4:4.2.0-0ubuntu1~intrepid1

I've had that message on Jaunty as well. The reason was a kded crash.
After manually restarting kded, everything worked fine.

Is this still an issue in Kubuntu 9.10?
