Bug Description
With Xubuntu Daily (20090225) X only starts in low res mode, dialogue does not allow changing of settings.
Starting X from console gives the following backtrace.

With the onboard GFX card (Intel I815) it also fails in a similar manner, Live CD does boot into graphical enviroment on another PC.
The failing PC is a Compaq Deskpro EN, which works fine (both onboard and Matrox GFX) with 8.10.
