Bug Description

I use 8.04, was using Epiphany (Gecko) this morning and it was working satisfactorily including the plugin for Adobe Flash. I got an indication that new software was available, clicked on the icon and found that a new version of Adobe Flash plugin was available for download and installation. I went ahead and allowed Update manager to complete the installation. Epiphany immediately disappeared and now won't load.
According to Synaptic package Mgr the version of Adobe Flash plugin currently installed is 10.0.22.87-2.
I've tried reloading both Epiphany and the new plugin but it hasn't fixed the problem
In view of the sequence of events I assume there is a good chance there is a bug here.

Regards

At the end of the session I found I could only turn off my PC using the power point on the wall. On rebooting it appears to have repaired itself. Hope this helps.

Thank you for taking time to report a bug.
Could you provide more details about update that causes the error?
e.g. Were there other packages include in that upgrade?
Which package was updated (adobe-flashplugin, flashplugin-nonfree)?

There was only one upgrade and as I recall is it was adobe-flashplugin.
I obviously didn't expect a problem and didn't pay a lot of attention.

At some point Amazon must have fixed the problem. There have been no more upgrades of flash, but the version 11.2.202.280 of the plugin now updates at Amazon and works.

Changed in adobe-flashplugin (Ubuntu):
