Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

I expect it not to connect (or autoconnect without any problems)

Starting it brings up a chat with the following:
(03:52:36) NickServ: (notice) This nickname is registered. Please choose a different nickname, or identify via /msg NickServ identify <password>.
(03:52:36) NickServ: (notice) Invalid password for Boycraft.

I am registered at #ubuntu-ru with a password. I think it tries to connect without a password.

I can confirm this still occurring in Pidgin 2.6.6. But in order to fix this, you need to either enter the correct password in for your IRC Account or ask someone from the irc.freenode.net to reset your password.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test a current, supported, Ubuntu version. Thanks in advance.
