[Jaunty]Desktop doesn't show saved files

Bug Description
Using Kubuntu Jaunty kernel 2.6.28-8-generic #26-Ubuntu SMP Wed Feb 25 04:27:53 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux (fully updated to 25/2/09).
If I save a file to /Home/Desktop it shows up in Dolphin but is not displayed on the screen (see screenshot).

You removed the folderview applet, so yes, the Desktop files are missing.
If you'd prefer, you can click the Plasma icon in the upper-right corner of the desktop, select "Appearance Settings", and change the Desktop Activity type to "Folderview" to have icons directly on your wallpaper.
