Bug Description
Binary package hint: libpango1.0-0
/usr/lib/
Debians current opinion on rpath [2] seems to be that it should NOT be set, except under very rare circumstances.
I haven't tested whether Debians packages contain the rpath setting as well, so it might be an upstream packaging bug.
Steps to reproduce:
1. install chrpath
2. chrpath -l /usr/lib/
Results:
/usr/lib/
Expected:
no rpath setting

thank you for your bug report, what version do you use?
the current jaunty version has this change
" * 90_relibtoolize .patch: relibtoolize to avoid the rpath issue on
amd64."
which should fix the issue
