Bug Description
Binary package hint: openoffice.org
My wife uses calc to compute the average grade of her students (grades are numeric values in France). Column N, line 6, there is a simple formula : '=MOYENNE(D6:H6)' (MOYENNE is both the french word for AVERAGE and the name of this function in the french locale of oocalc) to compute the average of cell D6 to H6.
Unfortunately, when I change the value of any cell from D6 to H6, the displayed value in cell N6 is not updated (I opened her file, the value 9.3 was displayed on N6 --- as 9,3 as the comma is the separator for decimal values --- whenever I put 0 in all cells D6, E6, F6 and H6, or 20 in all of them, the value displayed on N6 is not updated).
When I modify the formula on cell N6 (say replacing it by =1+MOYENNE(D6:H6)) the correct value is computed and displayed; but whatever I put in cells D6 to H6 afterwards, the displayed value remains unchanged.
(This bug is not specific to cell N6; it looks like all computed cells are affected.)
I could not reproduce this bug starting from an empty document but the bug is perfectly reproducible both on my wife's machine (running hardy heron) and mine (running intrepid ibex).
I prefer not to publish the document here as it contains private datas (students names and grades). However, I would be glad to send it in private to any interested developper.
(Sorry for these bad news, and thanks for all the work you (ubuntu and OO developpers) give us!)
ProblemType: Bug

SourcePackage: openoffice.org
Uname: Linux 2.6.27-11-generic i686
So you are saying you see this bug easily reproducible with the one document but when trying to recreate the bug using a new document and similar formulas that it doesn't happen? If so can you rip out student identifiable information and/or sanitize it from the original document and attach it to the bug report? I could look at it but if I need to forward it to the official openoffice.org developers it would be in the public at that point which is why I am asking for a sanitized version of the document.
Thanks,
Chris Cheney
