Bug Description

when printing from pdf or ps source, there are alsways some 1cm missing on top of the printed page.

it seems as the whole document is not aligned on the top printing border but ABOVE the top page border. some sign mixed up?

it could off course be that acrobat reader auto scales the pages to fit within the brinting borders while evince doesn't.

I get this issue on legal size as well. About 1.5" being chopped off the top. Already filed a bug under #355851

Actually this chopping off issue was fixed when 9.04 was launched. I only saw the issue in the RC releases.

I am getting this problem with 10.10 - I'm trying to print labels so difficult to find a way to print correctly. Problem is not restricted to labels though, it affects all OOO .odt documents I try to print - just it matters more for labels

Merlinpilot, your problem probably has another origin than the problem of the original poster which seems to be fixed. So please create a new bug report for your problem and provide us more information there. Especially follow the instructions under "Reporting bugs", "CUPS error_log", and "Capturing print job data" of https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems.
