Sometimes the menu does not refresh correctly

Binary package hint: screen-profiles

Sometimes, when I open the screen-profiles menu, if the first action I type is "arrow down" the menu does not refresh correctly.

Hmm, interesting...

Okay, just to determine the source of the problem, could you try one thing?

Could you expand the vertical size of your gnome-terminal window by a
couple of lines and see if you can reproduce the problem?

I suspect that this is being caused by the vertical size of the menu
in ncurses....

Hey Dustin,

I just tried what you asked and I didn't find the reason.

It happens in my gnome-terminal which is an 80x24, monospace 8pt. I don't know if that helps.

It happens randomly, but I haven't found a pattern yet. I'll keep you posted, if I find anything else.

Please do update this bug if you can find the pattern. I suspect it's going to be an issue in python-newt. But it'll help if we can figure out what's triggering the issue.

It does not seem to be the same issue, I already looked at that one before I filed this.

Marking won't fix against screen-profiles, copying bug over to byobu. If I can fix this, I'll fix it there. ;-)
