incorrect files trying to update printer drivers

A Panasonic KX-P7100 connected by USB is not visible and the USB port does not appear as an option.

modprobe printer

Trying to install Printconf from the synaptic fails due to incorrect file versions.

I still do not haver this printer working under Linux but have basically
given up.

Thanks for following up. I'm closing this report because it is not a bug but a problem with the installation of an unsupported printer. It would make more sense to raise problems you are having in the support tracker at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu , a support forum or irc #ubuntu
