Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase

Actually, there were a bunch of packages that failed to install, due the disk being full.

The basic problem is that the Synaptic package manager and tools it uses failed to properly detect the full disk errors and shutdown processing. Rather, it continued until it had hosed the current session (Gnome - no menus, panels, context menus, etc).

ProblemType: Package
Architecture: amd64
Dependencies:

DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.10
ErrorMessage: failed in buffer_write(fd) (10, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/share/doc/kde4/HTML/en/dolphin/configurationwindow2.png'

SourcePackage: kdebase
Title: package dolphin None [modified: /var/lib/dpkg/info/dolphin.list] failed to install/upgrade: failed in buffer_write(fd) (10, ret=-1): backend dpkg-deb during `./usr/share/doc/kde4/HTML/en/dolphin/configurationwindow2.png'
