Multimedia keyboard buttons don't work when the mouse is on the applications menu

Bug Description

Reproduce scenario :
- Open Rhythmbox media player (for example)
- Play a song with multimedia keyboard buttons
- Put the mouse on Applications menu and click on it
- With the multimedia keyboard buttons try to change to another song

It is not possible.

I can confirm this bug. It also seems to occur while any menu is being displayed (ie: firefox menu, desktop right click menu). It also prevents volume controls in hardware such as laptops from operating whilst menus are displayed.

I can confim this bug as well. Multimedia buttons and volume buttons do not work while any menu pulldown is selected.
