Bug Description

I have noticed that when ever I view a page with flash (youtube, etc.) my computer gets really hot, and according to the system monitor in gnome it uses at about one of my cores all the time (see attached pictures), even when i close down the tab it keeps going, but when i close firefox it seems to stop again. Its the same deal in epiphany.
When for example i go to http://www.engadget.com/2009/02/19/stantums-mind-blowing-multitouch-interface-on-video/#continued the videoplayer doesn't start playing right away, and npviewer is behaving it self, but when i click the play button it starts taking off. This has never been a problem in any earlier release for me

$ uname -a
Linux zpon-laptop 2.6.28-8-generic #24-Ubuntu SMP Wed Feb 18 20:36:18 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

High CPU usage when viewing flash content is not really an Ubuntu bug but one of flash itself and the animation or application you are running and how it was created. It is normal for high CPU usage when when some content is loaded.

Changed in adobe-flashplugin:
status: New → Invalid

Whether it is a bug in flash or not, i do not know, but it has never been normal for me to have this high CPU usage just for watching youtube. I have used ubuntu for almost two years on this laptop and have never experienced npviewer with such high CPU usage, in my opinion it should not be necessary for flash to use all of one core, on a core 2 duo 2.0 Ghz CPU, and have never been.

Whether to look in to it or not I do not know, but it sure does affect performance if you forget to kill npviewer before leaving it for an hour without having it plugged in the power socket, it cuts the battery time in about half.
