Bug Description

The NC-MDU01 is a battery charger that can be attached to a computer's USB port. It works ok here when attached to a computer independent USB power supply unit. It does, however, not charge when connected to one of the two USB ports of a MacBook Pro 3rd gen. running a fully updated Ubuntu 8.10 64-Bit.

I found this manual on the net: http://us.sanyo.com/dynamic/product/Downloads/USB_Instruction_Manual-27295019.pdf. I can supply additional information if you tell me which, but I will not accept any responsibility or liability or anything like that (this device deals with electricity, and electricity is dangerous).

The device is brand new.
