Bug Description

Binary package hint: checkbox

On upgrade, I get:

Setting up checkbox (0.5) ...
*** WARNING: ucf was run from a maintainer script that uses debconf, but
the script did not pass --debconf-ok to ucf. The maintainer
script should be fixed to not stop debconf before calling ucf,
and pass it this parameter. For now, ucf will revert to using
             old-style, non-debconf prompting. Ugh!

Please inform the package maintainer about this problem.

==> File also in package provided by package maintainer.
What would you like to do about it ? Your options are:
    Y or I : install the package maintainer's version
    N or O : keep your currently-installed version
D : show the differences between the versions
S : show the side-by-side differences between the versions
Z : start a new shell to examine the situation
The default action is to keep your current version.

I don't think I've ever modified these files by hand, so I shouldn't have been prompted; although it's hard now to tell for sure whether this was the case, so feel free to ignore this part of the bug. The real thing I'm reporting is the usage message given by ucf.

Confirming (including that the prompting is spurious - I definitely never modified those files.

Retitling to mention the ucf WARNING message only. The spurious conffile prompting is separately tracked in bug 330596.
