Bug Description

Binary package hint: highlight

Hi there

I would like to ask if there is any chance that a new version of highlight could be packaged for Ubuntu?

Preferably the current release, which is versions 2.7. There have been many useful new features in highlight since the currently-packaged 2.4.8, including new support for highlighting .patch files, which is nice for programmers.

See:
http://packages.debian.org/unstable/highlight (still at 2.4.8)
http://www.andre-simon.de/doku/highlight/en/highlight_changelog.html (new feature list)

Cheers
JP

FWIW, it appears that Andre Simon has already done much of the work of Ubuntu/Debian packaging:
