Bug Description

I have a vostro 1400 is capable to support 3d efects (compiz-fusion) or metacity composite without any problem but cause some render issues on Pymol, VMD and qtiplot. Both VMD and Pymol are proteins visualization software that use open-GL. both applications use a window for "control panel" and a window to render the molecules. in both applications the last window flick, is erased if you move other window over it (only compiz), display the images erratically, window border is not there (sometime with metacity, always with compiz) In the case of qtiplot when a 3D plot is plotted the windows became all gray from time to time.

In all cases if you rotate/move the molecule/3D-plot is displayed properly.

The problem are less noticeable (but still problematic) with metacity composite than with Compiz. With Compiz VMD/Pymol are uselles (programas doesn´t crash but is imposible to work).

attached some capture with vmd running and metacity composite manager enabled, two of them showing improperly behavior and one properly.
