Many bad Firefox behaviors are in fact caused by one of the many third-party 'themes', 'extensions' and 'plugins'. These will go away with a new profile - that is, when Firefox is restored to default settings and without any extensions and themes.

Please see if a new profile solves your problem.

In Terminal type:
 firefox -ProfileManager
You should now see the Profile Manager window.
Click on the 'Create Profile...' button to start the 'Create Profile Wizard'. Click 'Next' and enter a descriptive name for the new profile. Click Finish to have Firefox create the new profile. You should now be taken back to the Profile Manager and the newly created profile should be listed. Select it and click 'Start Firefox'. Try to reproduce the bug with this new profile.

Note: you can go back to your own profile by starting Firefox using the command firefox -ProfileManager again, selecting your own profile, and clicking on 'Start Firefox'.

Hi,

I forgot to mention, but I already did this. As before, no window raised. It just gets stucked.

Is this crash reproducible? If so, which are the steps that lead to it?
Which version of the Firefox package do you have installed?
Which version of Ubuntu are you using / on which architecture?
Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which Firefox extensions do you have installed?

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

After a fresh reboot (machine was down for a few hours), I restarted again and checked the option "-ProfileManager". At this time, it worked successfully.

Since it happened after the last update performed, maybe some shared library didn't load properly. Anyway my previous profile stills not working, but this time it can be related to some plugin.

So I believe this TT can be closed.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Helio
