Bug Description

Binary package hint: zenity

zenity --list breaks randomly

Examples:
echo {1..999}$'\n' | zenity --list --column numbers
Breaks at 841

echo a{1..1999}$'\n' | zenity --list --column numbers
Breaks at a1036

echo aa{1..1999}$'\n' | zenity --list --column numbers
Breaks at aa747

I'm using Hardy

I can reproduce this, but I'm not sure whether the problem is in zenity, glib or bash.

I don't know about glib but I don't see how it could be bash since the following works correctly:
echo aa{1..1999}$'\n' | cat

Is this still the case? According to upstream, this has been fixed (see the upstream bug report - why launchpad displais it has not been fixed is a mystery to me).
