Firefox does not respond to keyboard.

When browsing with Firefox it sometimes stops responding to the keyboard. The mouse and everything else work fine. But the keyboard does not.

I'm having this problem in Jaunty, on my Acer Aspire One. I often use the arrow keys or Page up/down to scroll through a web page, but recently it acts as though it loses the keyboard focus. Clicking on the page doesn't seem to restore focus, nor does selecting text.

Version 3.0.9, standard Jaunty version.

this bug seems like the closest match for a problem i noticed today, so i thought i'd add my .02.

i'm running Jaunty on a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, with Firefox 3.6.8 .

today, after no system changes that i was aware of, i lost keyboard control in Firefox. i could use the touchpad to control Firefox fine, and i could perform certain "meta" tasks like Ctrl + L, etc, but i couldn't control a given window with the keyboard: things like scrolling down with the down arrow or Page Down keys, tabbing through form fields or links, or copying selected text via Ctrl + C.

per notes i read on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/584513 , i experimented with disabling Firefox add-ons. when i disabled the Delicious Bookmarks add-on (version 2.1.102), and restarted Firefox, the problem seemed to go away...
