Plasma only works on desktop 1

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

I have 8 desktops configured, but after starting KDE plasma only works on desktop 1. All other desktops are visible and applications run on them but all show a blank background.
Killing and restartig plasma solves the problem.

Added both files. Also already tried to delete the files to have them generated new.

Strange. There's seemingly nothing wrong with the config files at first glance.

No - as plasma is actually running (on desktop 1 only). I have to kill and restart it to have it running on all desktops

Hey Wolfgang!

Yesterday I triaged a bug report where GNOME doesn't render anything but the first desktop if it gets started with KWin set as default window manager. So... do you use by any change a display manager other than KWin in KDE? Or did you ever use compiz, so that there might be some left over from it's setup?

Seriously, the description of this bug sounds exactly like the one of GNOME+KWin.
