flickering connected notification bubble

On Intrepid, using a 'Mobile Broadband' connection, the 'connected' notification bubble is flickering for a short time after it appears. Interestingly, the flicker time gets longer with more connects/disconnects.

Reproduce:

- connect/disconnect for several (dozend) times, depending on the speed of your graphics.
- you can notice the flickering on every single connect

When I kill nm-applet and start it again, the 'amount of flicker on connect' is reset to zero. Seems like nm-applet is keeping some state here.

Just tried with my WLAN connection, cannot reproduce with that one.

No, not like this.

Dell Latitude X1, Pentium M 1.1 GHz ULV, Intel i915GMS, using xserver-xorg-video-intel. Both the processor and the graphics core are not very fast (optimized for low power), thus the flickering might be more noticable than on high-end systems.

i dont understand what flickers here ... the notification bubble? thats rather a notification-daemon bug. in jaunty we now use our new notify-osd server; maybe check if that fixes it.
