Bug Description

Hello,

I'm testing Untuntu Jaunty on my MSI Wind.

Lately, a kernel upgrade (among other stuff) broke X display. I boot, after the orange progression bar, after some switch for video resolution, at the point I should view my wallpaper on a working setup, the screen just stay blank. Indefinitely. The only thing I can do is a hard shutdown using the power button.

Version Kernel are:
Ubuntu Jaunty (development branche), kernel 2.6.28-7
Ubuntu Jaunty (development branche), kernel 2.6.28-6

If I tell grub to use the previous kernel (2.6.28-6), the boot sequence can be completed to Gnome usage.

Thus I think it is a regression.

Best regards,
Yannick
