Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox-3.0
I'm using firefox-3.0 (output from apt-cache policy: Installed: 3.0.5+nobinonly
I've always had a problem with flash on my computer, ever since Hardy- and I find it hard to recommend that people should use Ubuntu if they can't watch flash. I really love Ubuntu, and that's why I hate myself when I realize that I've stopped doing things on Ubuntu that I used to do on Windows just because it doesn't work in Ubuntu.
Flash is an important factor in computers nowadays and this must work for every computer!
Thank you for this bug report. Firefox-3.0 cannot by itself view flash videos. You need to install a flash player. Flash Player 10 is available to use for viewing flash videos and works quite well. To install it go System- >Administration ->Software Sources- >Third- Party Software and the enable the partner repository. After this is done install the package adobe-flashplugin. You will then have to restart Firefox.
Now, if you have already installed a flash player, what package did you install to view flash? Do you know what version it is? Thanks.
