ubuntu Jaunty repository dvdrip package has unresolvable dependencies. When update dvdrip using Synaptic, it failed with the error:

dvdrip:
 Depends: transcode but it is not going to be installed
 Recommends: subtitleripper but it is not going to be installed

using apt-get, the following errors are reported:

sudo apt-get install dvdrip subtitleripper ksubtitleripper gocr mplayer libdvdread3 debhelper fakeroot
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
libdvdread3 is already the newest version.
libdvdread3 set to manually installed.
debhelper is already the newest version.

Confirmed easily.

Looks like the problen's with libmjpegtools0c2a:

That's from a 64-bit Jaunty box.
This is the policy form a 32-bit Intrepid box:

One thing I forgot the mention in my bug report was that k9copy package install from Synaptic also has similar dependency issue on Ubuntu Jaunty alpha 4 AMD64.

Marking fix released, now libx264 and transcode have been updated so the package is installable again
