Bug Description
Just upgraded to Jaunty alpha4, when I activate nvidia driver only gnome-session starts fine but when I enable desktop effects (compiz) I can't see gnome-panel coming and the session never actually starts.
If you guys tell me what other information you need, I'd be glad to help debugging ;-)

There are several workarounds in the main bug to get you into a desktop session, and once there you'll be able to update to a working X server.
