Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-terminal

While following bugs on #ubuntu-bugs-announce, I discovered that my gnome-terminal was including the trailing period Eeebotu added to the URL. This, naturally, causes the browser to 404.

It's easily corrected manually, but it's still an effective regression from Intrepid.

Relevant information:
Release: Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 alpha 4,
Architecture: amd64
Package: gnome-terminal
Version: 2.25.5-0ubuntu2

The trailing dot is not picked up in my gnome-terminal in Intrepid (2.24.1.1-0ubuntu1).

Easily confirmed: copy & paste a HTTP link ending in a period (the #ubuntu-bugs-announce ones, for example).
 either
Hovering the pointer over the link shows the trailing dot is included in the link. Right-clicking and either copying or opening the link shows the error.
