Bug Description
Binary package hint: thunderbird
First of all I am sorry for the grammar, I am Italian and do my best effort to write correctly. This means also I dont know how multiple desktops are called in original english ubuntu.
I don't remember if I had this problem before, because I think every time I used the "send to" function thunderbird was not open.
But today I tried to do it to a folder and also to an archive file, while thunderbird was opened in another desktop and the window of email sending did not show up. When I tried to close thunderbird, it worked.
Now, I dont know if the problem is in gnome, but perhaps there is some rule that cannot be followed while thunderbird is open, so gnome can't provide his function.
The useful infos
1) I am using ubuntu intrepid 8.10
2) the version of thunderbird is 2.0.0.19+
3) I expected the window of creating email to be shown
4) The window didn't show up
Hope this is enough, if not, tell me and I'll provide more infos.

I cannot reproduce this bug in Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04. Could you please confirm whether this bug still affect you?
Also, I assume that when you say "multiple desktops", you refer to the the multiple desktop workspaces between which you move by using Ctrl+Alt+ Left/Right.
