high load on saving files (all gtk programs freeze for 1 sec)

Bug Description

Create a textfile in with gedit, write some lines in it and save.

Click the save button ~ once per second.

watch top.

all GTK programms increase parallel until 100% CPU is reached...

main problem.. after saving all gtk programs freeze for about 0.5 - 1 second...

this is on jaunty, latest.

(i guess it will be back to normal when I restart X..)

still the same after X restarts. means -> reproduceable.

same thing happens when loading ~200 files with totem..
loading (to the time it starts playing) takes about 40 seconds.

thank you for your bug report, not confirming the issue though you are the first to complain about that and it's probably configuration specific

after cleaning up my home folder and deleting all unimportant and gnome/gtk configs everything is back to normal...

this machine had 3 full upgrades since the first installation so the config was probably messed up..

I'm wondering why some bad config can slow down all gtk apps..
